What’s on our Radar – Week of May 25th, 2026

This week’s Radar offers you a chance to plug in to active transportation plans with the Bicycle and Pedestrian Advisory Committee and the work of the Agricultural Advisory Commission. There are no Clark County Council meetings this week, which will free you up to read FOCC’s Q2 newsletter that’s coming out this Friday!

Our weekly radar is intended to highlight Clark County meetings and events relevant to Friends of Clark County priorities. This list is not exhaustive. For a full list of Clark County meetings, please visit Clark County Council and Clark County Community Planning on the Clark County website.

TUESDAY, MAY 26TH

Clark Communities Bicycle and Pedestrian Advisory Committee meeting at 6pm: Meeting information
Active Transportation Projects for the 20-year Transportation Capital Facility Plan and more on the agenda.

WEDNESDAY, MAY 27TH

Clark County Agricultural Advisory Commission meeting at 6pm: Meeting information
Note: Commission committee work is from 6-7pm. This portion of the meeting will not be online/hybrid. Starting at 7pm, there will be an update discussion of the Comp Plan and Transfer of Development Rights (TDR).

Clark County Council work sessions

2026 State of the County Address
Chair Sue Marshall shared the State of the County Address on May 19th, touting the success of Clark County’s Legacy Lands program and the Neighborhood Outreach program. Marshall encouraged residents to provide feedback to the Charter Review Commission on proposed amendments to the Home Rule Charter it is working on. Marshall also spoke about the Comprehensive Plan Update and the new requirements of the Growth Management Act to address climate change and affordable housing and more.

Clark County Council meeting
The Year of the Woman Farmer proclamation was read by Chair Marshall (a woman farmer!), with remarks from local women farmers to follow. Much public comment was received opposing Clark County’s Information Technology Department’s request for a Microsoft upgrade to use AI (500 Copilot licenses), which was approved by the Council.
