Nothing significant related to FOCC’s mission took place at last week’s Clark County Council meeting.

Clark County Council Work Sessions and Council Time
The Clark County Council held work sessions on the Clark County Youth Commission, Public Defense Caseload Standards and Staffing Model, and Clark County Green Team Updates. You can check out our highlight reel on the CC Green Team Updates presentation on Facebook and Instagram. Nothing related to FOCC’s mission took place at last week’s Council Time.

Clark County Planning Commission Comp Plan Hearing
The purpose of this hearing was to take public testimony on the Comp Plan Update. The Planning Commission will soon hold a deliberation hearing (currently set for September 3rd) to make a final recommendation to the Clark County Council on revisions to the Comp Plan, most notably changes to the comprehensive and zoning plan map, as well as updates to policies and text in the comprehensive plan document. Look out for our social media spotlights this week on some of the wonderful testimony that came out of this hearing!

Friends of Clark County Annual Fundraising Dinner
Our annual Dinner with Friends fundraising event will take place at a new, fabulous location at Cedars Public House in Brush Prairie, WA
on September 13th from 4 to 7pm. The food will be delicious, the setting beautiful, and the company even better. We hope you will join us for dinner, as we need your help more than ever to keep Clark County beautiful and livable through conservation, advocacy, and education.
