Clark County Work Sessions

Community engagement was emphasized, especially outreach to community-based organizations.

Council Time
Items of note:

  • The Council discussed the proposed Ending Community Homelessness Organization (ECHO) Systems Analysis Project. After discussion, the Council deferred the proposal to a meeting two weeks from now where Councilor Yung and potentially a representative of ECHO could be present.
  • The Council approved moving forward with developing a Public Benefit Rating System, which is a program for landowners to take certain actions that improve the community and environment in exchange for a tax benefit.
  • There was discussion of removing the existing Freight Rail Dependent Use (FRDU) overlay in Brush Prairie now that SB 5820 has passed in the legislature. It was clarified that the Council will have to select removal of the overlay as part of their Preferred Alternative for the Comp Plan.
