10 Sep Show up! The Conservation District NEEDS YOU!
Come to the Clark Council County meeting on Tuesday morning September 11, 2018 at 10 and tell them to vote to support the Conservation District.
FOCC has gathered 1,035 signatures of people in support of the District that we have given to the Councilors for their review.
Tell your Council members that there is no other organization in the county that provides the unique set of services that the Clark Conservation District provides including helping farmers make improvements on their property and improve their management practices. These efforts on the part of private property owners by the Conservation District are essential in the broader effort to improve important community assets – clean water, stream restoration, healthy fish and wildlife habitat, protection of our soil, farm and forest lands.
Additionally, the Conservation District helps to protect property owners of resource lands from getting sideways with environmental liability by helping in the development of land management plans thus assuring that there is no detrimental sediment or pollutant runoff into nearby waterways. Each property has its own individual challenges. Again, there is no other organization that provides this service.
We look forward to seeing you on Tuesday at the hearing.
