Parks, Recreation and Open Space Master Plan Update!

Parks, Recreation and Open Space Master Plan Update!

It is not too late to participate in the Clark County Parks survey to provide your input into the update of the Parks, Recreation and Open Space Master Plan.  The survey will be open until Aug. 31st and can be found at this site along with the current master plan: https://www.clark.wa.gov/public-works/comprehensive-parks-plan

Kudos to the Parks Department for also providing the survey in Spanish and Russian languages.

This planning process will continue throughout 2020.  In 2021 it is anticipated that the draft plan will go to the Planning Commission for public hearings and recommendation to the County Council for review and final adoption.

As with all of us, the county departments have had to make major adjustments to their operations given the Covid pandemic.  A good way to stay informed and provide input as the planning progresses is to tune into the Parks Advisory Committee meetings online or by phone.  Their next meeting is scheduled for Aug. 11th Agenda.  The public is encouraged to participate:

    • By phone: 1-408-418-9388 and entering access code: 146 328 6639, or
    • Submit public comments to: pab@clark.wa.gov
